Delete Your Account

We respect your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of your DocFila account and all associated data at any time using the methods described below.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: From Within the App

Open the DocFila app on your device
Go to Settings (tap your profile icon)
Scroll down and tap Delete Account
Confirm your identity when prompted
Tap Permanently Delete Account to confirm

Option 2: Via Email

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us. Please include the email address associated with your DocFila account.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

Account information — your name, email, profile photo, and login credentials
Documents — all uploaded, scanned, and created documents
Vault contents — all files stored in your secure vault
Chat history — all messages and conversation data
Studio sessions — all AI conversation history and saved sessions
Preferences and settings — all app configuration and personalization data
Shared files — documents you shared with others will no longer be accessible

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently erased within 30 days of your request. Active subscriptions will be cancelled but are not refunded — please cancel your subscription before requesting deletion if you wish to avoid further charges.

Processing Time

Account deletion requests are processed as follows:

In-app deletion: Your account is deactivated immediately. Data is permanently erased within 30 days.
Email requests: We will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days. Data is permanently erased within 30 days of confirmation.

Data Retention After Deletion

After account deletion, we may retain certain data only as required by law (e.g., financial transaction records for tax compliance). Any retained data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to your account. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
