How to Rotate a PDF Permanently — Free, in 30 Seconds

By DocFila Team · April 28, 2026 · 3 min read

Most PDF readers let you rotate the view temporarily, but the next person opens it sideways again. To rotate permanently — so the rotation is saved into the file — you need an editor. DocFila does it free.

Rotate one page

  1. Open the PDF in DocFila → Pages.
  2. Tap the page thumbnail. Use the rotate icon (90° each tap) or enter an exact angle.
  3. Tap Save. The rotation is embedded permanently.

Rotate every page at once

From the Pages view, tap Select All → Rotate 90°. Useful when an entire scanned document came out upside-down.

Auto-detect orientation

Tap Tools → Auto-Rotate. DocFila uses on-device OCR to detect the natural reading direction of each page and rotates everything to match. Saves the headache of manually fixing 100-page scans.
