🔒 DocFila Verify

Cryptographic proof for the documents that matter. Every signed contract gets a Merkle proof anchored on a public blockchain — so anyone, anywhere, can verify it's real without trusting us.

How Verify works

Sign as normal

Sign any document in DocFila with our standard e-signature flow. Nothing changes for you.

We hash it

The signed PDF is hashed with SHA-256. The hash — not the document — is what gets anchored.

Anchor on-chain

Hashes are batched into a Merkle tree and anchored to a public blockchain (Bitcoin via OpenTimestamps + Ethereum). Cost to you: zero.

Verify forever

Anyone with the document can independently confirm it existed at signing time and hasn't been altered — even if DocFila no longer exists.

Why this matters

⚖️ Court-grade evidence

Public blockchain timestamps are admissible evidence in many jurisdictions. Stronger than a notary stamp because it's independently verifiable.

🌐 No vendor lock-in

The proof lives on a public chain, not on our servers. If DocFila disappears tomorrow, your proofs still verify.

🔓 Privacy-preserving

Only the hash is on-chain — never the document content. Your data stays private.

💸 Zero marginal cost

Notarization is $25–$200 per document. DocFila Verify is included free in Pro and unlimited on Business.

Verify vs traditional notarization

A notary witnesses an in-person signature and stamps the paper. DocFila Verify creates a publicly verifiable cryptographic proof at signing time — no in-person meeting, no paper, no central authority. Stronger than a notary stamp for tamper-detection. Pair both for maximum strength on high-stakes contracts.
