DocAgent is DocFila's assistant on the phone, desktop and web. It reads the document you have open, searches your library, answers general questions and keeps the conversation going.
An assistant that works where you work.
- Reads the open document. Ask about the file on your screen without uploading it again.
- Searches your library. Answers from your own documents, and names the files it used.
- Remembers the conversation. A follow-up question carries the ones before it.
- Acts with your approval. Rename, tag, convert and file documents, set reminders and tasks, open the right tool. It shows its plan first, and you can undo.
- Talk to it. Speak instead of typing, and have answers read aloud.
- Beside your work. On the desktop, Cmd+J on a Mac or Ctrl+J on Windows and Linux opens it next to the document.

On DocFila's servers, with Google Gemini. It is not on-device AI. The AI data page explains what is sent and where.
Do I need an account?
Yes. DocAgent needs a DocFila account. The Free plan includes it, within daily usage limits.
Does it change my files without asking?
No. Renaming, converting, filing and other actions are shown as a plan first and run only after you approve. They can be undone.
Does DocFila train AI on what I ask?
No. DocFila does not train, fine-tune or evaluate any model on your content.
