You scanned a document, signed it, and now need a physical copy. Or you created a resume and want to bring printed copies to an interview. Or you need to print boarding passes, shipping labels, or tax forms — and your laptop is not nearby. Printing from your phone is simpler than most people think, and DocFila makes it even easier with built-in print support for any document you scan, create, or import.
There are several ways to print from your phone. The best method depends on your printer and setup:
Apple's built-in wireless printing protocol. If your printer supports AirPrint (most printers from the last decade do), your iPhone automatically discovers it on the same WiFi network. No driver installation, no configuration — just tap Print.
Android includes a built-in print framework that discovers compatible printers on your local network. Many printer manufacturers also offer dedicated print plugins (HP Smart, Brother iPrint, Epson iPrint) available in the Play Store for additional features.
Some printers support direct WiFi connections — your phone connects to the printer's own WiFi network without needing a shared router. This is useful when you are not on the same WiFi network as the printer, or when there is no WiFi at all.
If your Android phone supports USB On-The-Go (OTG), you can connect a USB printer directly to your phone with a USB-C to USB-A adapter. This is a fallback for printers without wireless capabilities.
Open the document you want to print in DocFila. This can be:
Tap the share or tools menu and select "Print." DocFila opens your device's print dialog with the document pre-loaded and formatted.
Your phone automatically discovers available printers on the network. Select the one you want to use. If your printer does not appear, make sure it is powered on and connected to the same WiFi network.
Adjust settings according to your needs:
Tap "Print" to send the job. The document appears on your printer within seconds.
DocFila's passport photo tool generates print-ready photo sheets. Select a 4x6 or A4 print layout that includes multiple copies of your photo, perfectly sized for cutting. Print on glossy photo paper for best results.
Sometimes you scan a document just to make a cleaner copy. DocFila's scanner enhances contrast, removes shadows, and straightens text — so the printed copy often looks better than the original. Use the "High Contrast" or "Black & White" filter for sharp, ink-efficient output.
Bring printed resumes to interviews. Export from DocFila's CV Builder and print on quality paper (24–32 lb resume paper recommended). Use color mode if your resume has color accents, or switch to black & white for a classic look.
DocFila connects to any WiFi printer. Scan a document and print a perfect copy in seconds.
